Richard J. Szrabe

1982-2009: barrister (called Middle Temple 1982; ad eundem Lincoln's Inn). Latterly at 13 Old Square Chambers, Lincoln's Inn, London. 

Areas of law in which he took a close interest when in practice include government procurement; international insurance (especially Lloyd's of London and Equitas Re); international inheritance crime; insurance aspects of actionable personal injury; trusts; and the problems of private clients (hence MrRigorous.pro).

Pre-retirement affiliations included Fellow, Royal Society of Medicine; Royal Society of Arts; Royal Geographical Society; sometime Visiting Scholar, Harvard Law School, Visiting Fellow, Kingston University School of Law, Visiting Professor, George Washington Law School, etc.

Retired in good standing 2009. Present status at Middle Temple is 'Withdrawn Membership'; his category is 'Non-Practising Barrister' (Middle Temple's Head of Membership's October 10, 2022 letter, 'To whomever it may concern').

2011: Changed last name from Astor to Szrabe — basically for the fun of it.

Szrabe has never really retired. He has been busy looking after a variety of canine friends and with some large and horrific inheritance crime cases, including flagrant criminality by specialist lawyers, heirs and lawyer regulators, among others. And the inspired TheInheritanceChannel.com is a big project that has already consumed several years.

He is consternated by:-

DISHONEST LAWYERS: in more than 50 years interacting with lawyers, he has known only a very small handful of honest lawyers, hence Lawyer Rackets and Get A Grip.

INHERITANCE CRIMINALITY: dishonest executors, ad col grantees, interim administrators, full administrators, heirs (especially in cliques), specialist lawyers (including solicitors and barristers on the same side), judges, accountants, police, regulators etc: an ecosystem of villainy in plain view: hence the titles Inheritance Crime and Accounting and Auditing in Inheritance Crime, and my inheritance crime consulting firm.

OPPRESSIVE SUPPRESSION OF FREE SPEECH including by dishonest defamation plaintiffs and dishonest defamation defendants; corrupt defamation litigation; SLAPP; gauche, docile, uninformed, easily frightened utterers; ridiculous legislation suppressing public dissent, etc: hence Defamation War Room.

He is appalled by endemic misinformation, misunderstanding, illiteracy, incompetence, hesitancy, inexperience, cowardice among victims of lawyer, inheritance and defamation scams, cons, heists and rackets, hence the six mould-breaking, ground-breaking titles.

These books, with their interesting proactivity extras, are going to make that all-important global difference.
